MERA BHARAT GHULAM

Oh yes… I can feel the heat. I can feel the anger when someone insults our slogan. Did I say anger? Sorry read it as ‘annoyance’. How can we be angry? We are Indians, right? At the most we can feel a little annoyed when someone beats us, cheats us or loots us of our freedom. Anybody can walk over us… strip us off and do whatever they wish. Yes, we do feel angry sometimes and express in a very polite manner. We light candles, walk in peace protests. We march the peace protests like our sacred cows in a permitted boundary by the Government. And who are we fighting against… the Government !! It’s like asking a thief to watch over our valuables.

I read somewhere that terrorists have been disturbing us for 25 years now… holy____ TWENTY FIVE years!!! Wow, isn’t that great? God herself won’t tolerate this but we are Indians you see. More patient than the almighty. Yes, we’ve expressed.. and been expressing. I see the terrorists sitting in a corner and planning on opening a candle factory. The more people they kill…more candles will be sold.

Someone calls himself some sort of ‘Moral Police’ and beats women in public. Who told them ‘pubs’ are bad places? Exactly how would they explain ‘loving’ or ‘being lovers’ is against Hindu culture? They can’t explain it…in fact, they don’t need to explain it. They know the secret. The secret that many Rulers of India have known that “we are sheep”. We don’t dare to ask. We won’t stand up in the first place let alone asking be.

Which Hindu scripture asks us to disrespect women by beating or abusing them? Which scripture suggests us to sell our perverted thoughts in the form of ‘sex books’? Which holy scripture in the world is in favor of promoting ‘child pornography’? But it’s all over here…everywhere. The so called ‘moral police’ don’t fight this? They won’t. They only fight against innocent lovers.

Our land is a land that taught the world how to see God in women. How could these Rama sene fellas forget this when they raised their hand on women? They bring shame to Rama. We were ruled by invaders for more than 600 years… yes SIX HUNDRED. It’s not because they were strong. It’s because we were not. Let’s face it. Truth does not change just because we close our eyes. We are a third-world country(poverty stricken) not because we lack resources…but because we lack resourcefulness.

Please… people, for God’s sake. Lets Get up, Stand up and VOICE our birth right. Remember you and I work hard and pay taxes for all these uneducated idiots. The breakfast that our C.M eats comes straight out of our pockets. The police and the Government are not here to rule us but to serve us. It’s a system we’ve adopted for our security. They brought our night life rights to 4 am, then 2 and then they said 11.30 pm. Tomorrow they’ll ask you to be home by 9pm because it’s a healthy lifestyle. They know ‘all we can do is to walk around MG road with placards in our hands’. Let’s remember that the Police does NOT decide what we should do but we do and we pay them for the service.

I whole heartedly appreciate those who at least organize some protests. It feels bad to see that hardly a few people participate. Do you want to wait until your own sister is molested, until your own brother is beaten up. Fellow Indians, Bhagavad-Gita itself says “Vinashaya cha duskritam” (to annihilate the evil miscreants). Our politeness should not be the result of our fears but our strength.

I wrote this because I love my country…because I care for my people. Mera Bharat is truly Mahaan but not unless we stand up for our rights.

Couldn't agree with you more.
We Indians have let ourselves be held ransom to the whims of politicians, bureaucrats and the police.
You mentioned the 23:30 deadline for restaurants and pubs. There is also the banning of live bands. Ignorant politicians, bureaucrats and police don't know the difference between a rock band and a strip show!
Think about it, these are the kind of people that make decisions that affect the future of our country!

Well, ManuSmriti, one of the very ancient scripture and a great source of Hindu Law does speak about Beating Women... But our modernity pushes us more backward to follow the obsolete to protect the so called "tradition".
Being ruled over & over again by various dictators has amalgamated slavery in our blood. The ones who know this fact are now ruling us, with full confidence.
Anyways no such hinderance has ever been recorded in the history of sociology which can stop the society to move ahead and grow. protest happens to stagnate the society but never it is successful.

Good article though... :-)
